Overcoming 2021’s Challenges
2020 saw a lot of things happening, one of them being the journey of an epidemic to being a pandemic. The surge of COVID-19 was extensive. All regions of the world were affected by it and almost all are still in recovery as the vaccines have started to roll out. One of the questions we should be asking ourselves is how we handled it.
The answer to that question should remain in your conscious minds and let it bother you. The year ahead will be of more difficulty which will require strength and unification. We should be self-aware of anything that might lead to implicating oneself in danger. On the other hand, people still have to go to work and travel, no one can stop that now as it would just lead to confusion and imbalance of work life and personal life as it did when the virus was surging in cases.
How each nation reacted on the pandemic has significantly shaped queries on how one should react. Looking at New Zealand’s response and comparing it to other countries with similar populations has raised questions. 2021 will be a big test for utilising an opportunity of a year to reflect on other nations how the people cooperate.
There are numerous factors involved, but essentially it comes down to the cooperation of the public and how the government treats them. 2021 will also challenge the work ethic of companies and their response to the employees. There will be an implementation of newer systems and ideas surrounding politics, economy, and entertainment. Likewise, it will also impact Big Pharma and the healthcare industry.
To let 2021 become a ‘normal’ year like the pre-pandemic era will be an unfeasible task. 2021 won’t be any better than 2020. All the 365 days will do is give us another reason to overcome the virus by working together, cooperating and balancing lifestyles. There will be a visible contrast in everyone’s lives, and we have to learn to live with that. Thinking positively will help 2021 become another year of creativity with flourishing ideas by the digital youth. We should now strive to be patient and steadfast hoping and working towards a better 2022.
